BELOW ARE A FEW GRANT OPPORTUNITIES THAT MIGHT BE OF INTEREST |
|
| |
1) The Enterprise Holdings Foundation represents Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s commitment to serve its community through health and human services projects. The Foundation is interested in projects related to family services, healthcare, community improvement, and worker support and development, among other issues. Most important, the projects must originate in communities where Enterprise employees live and work; interested non-profit organizations should partner with an Enterprise employee who supports the organization in order to submit an application. Awards range from $1,500 to $5,000. The application deadline is August 1, 2015 with a review date on October 22, 2015. Good candidates: 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. For more information, click HERE.
2) The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation’s Fund for National Projects is accepting letters of inquiry. The Fund supports two kinds of projects: those that (1) “strengthen the national infrastructure of the professional nonprofit dance, jazz, presenting and/or theatre fields” and/or those that (2) “improve conditions for the national community of performing artists in professional nonprofit dance, jazz and theatre.” $1.1 million is available, with individual grants ranging from $60,000 to $200,000. The deadline for letters of inquiry is February 26, 2016. Good candidates: Non-profit organizations and consortia. For more information, click HERE.
3) The National Park Service (NPS) hosts the National Maritime Heritage Grant Program, which focuses on education and preservation of historic maritime resources. Organizations may submit a funding proposal for either an education project or a preservation project—each of these two broad areas are divided into subcategories. For example, education projects could support instruction in maritime field programs, history programs, etc. Preservation programs could support preservation, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and/or restoration of a historic property or landscape. $1.7 million is available with an award ceiling of $200,000 and a 1-to-1 match requirement. Applications are due August 3, 2015. Good candidates: State, local, and tribal governments, and non-profit organizations. For more information, click HERE.
