BELOW ARE A FEW GRANT OPPORTUNITIES THAT MIGHT BE OF INTEREST |

1) The Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP) provides grants for pro-bono financial planning and community outreach among underserved adults. Grants range from $5,000 to $300,000. Projects “need to incorporate the involvement of financial planning professionals as community volunteers and in pro bono activity, or in partnership with local affiliates of financial planning associations.” The application deadline is April 30, 2015. Good candidates: Non-profit organizations. For more information, click HERE.
2) The U.S. Soccer Foundation funds Safe Places to Play grants to help communities build or improve soccer fields to enhance the health and fitness of children. Applicants aiming to bring playing fields to children in urban areas are especially welcome to apply. Successful applicants can win up to $50,000. Letters of intent are due May 31, 2015 and the application deadline is June 5, 2015. Good candidates: 501(c)(3) non-profit soccer programs. For more information, click HERE.
3) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) opened a call for Pollution Prevention Program grants; 40 awards ranging from $20,000 to $140,000 will be made. “Proposals favored for funding are those that help businesses adopt or implement approaches or tools, utilize outreach material or attend training in best management practices for the purpose of reducing or eliminating hazardous pollutants from air, water, or land.” The application deadline is May 14, 2015. Good candidates: State entities including universities, and tribal organizations. For more information, click HERE.

Purse strings are tightening and budgets will be cut, but the federal government will continue to spend billions of dollars. A lot of these funds will be accessed by those who have experienced help in seeking grants, contracts and program funds!
