HOUSE COMMITS TO TIGHT APPROPRIATIONS SCHEDULE

  

Yesterday, House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers released his summer schedule to consider and approve various House appropriations bills before September 30, the deadline that draws the 2011 fiscal year to a close. The dates below include consideration by both the subcommittee and the full committee; with these deadlines set, Rogers' goal is to avoid the kinds of disagreements and delays that threatened a government shutdown throughout 2011.

Homeland Security: Subcommittee: May 13, Full Committee: May 23.

Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies: Subcommittee: June 2, Full Committee: June 15.

Interior, Environment and Related Agencies: Subcommittee: July 6, Full Committee: July 11.

Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies: Subcommittee: July 14, Full Committee: July 26.
