Vineis Creates WTS Innovative Transportation Solutions Award

Conceived and developed by Capital Partnerships' President Christine Vineis, WTS International awarded its first Innovation Transportation Solutions award to Boston's Altwheels at last week's annual conference in Atlanta.

Vineis approached WTS leaders a year ago recommending that the international, 43 chapter organization celebrate the vital work of transportation in transforming people's lives. Chapters were asked to submit local, creative projects to the WTS Awards Committee and AltWheels and its founder, Alison Sander, were selected for the first time award. Showcasing creative transportation technologies that reduce carbon emissions, AltWheels is one of the largest festivals on the east coast, drawing over 20,000 people in 2007.
